Ellie Carter

Meet Our MARKETING manager

Ellie Carter joined the team in 2020 taking up the role of Marketing Manager for The Podcast Show 2021, responsible for driving and executing the marketing campaign, accountable for the delivery of all marketing and engagement activation. Ellie heads up the research and development surrounding our audiences, developing insight driven marketing strategies and techniques. Ellie’s core focuses include taking time to establish, expand whilst getting to know our audiences as well as ensuring our team/agencies including external creative & PR working on producing deliverables do too. Ellie oversees the management of all our digital, BTL, Social Media Marketing for the Show working with external companies on the PR, creative input and social campaigns whilst ensuring the events partnership and sponsorship rights are adhered to. 

With a clear passion for live music and events, Ellie’s previous experience following her university studies in Manchester where she worked in various music venues, span from working for Festival Republic in a number of production roles across the company's major portfolio of events. Ellie worked on Reading & Leeds, Download, Latitude, Wireless, Community & BBC Radio 2 Live in Hyde Park over 3 consecutive summers as well as taking up differing artist liaison roles for various live events including Radio 1’s Big Weekend and the Teen Awards where she supported the onsite management of artists such as Jorja Smith, Liam Payne and Demi Lovato. She continued her work with artist liaison at 2017's Amplify at the ExCel Centre where she oversaw the management of the 'Journey Theatre'. Ellie managed The Feedback Centre at 2018’s BBC Music Introducing Live before having her first taste in marketing at Australia’s largest art fair, Sydney Contemporary. 

Following her work in Australia, Ellie returned home to take on the role as Marketing Executive at Vision Nine, where she worked on the BTL marketing and slowly worked towards curating the brand and social media strategy at Boardmasters Festival, NASS Festival and BBC Music Introducing LIVE. After a successful 18 months at the company, having worked on 2 sold out festivals that played host to artists such as Cypress Hill, Rudimental, Florence & The Machine and Foals, and with her team of 3 bagging the ‘Marketing Campaign of the Year Award’ at 2019’s UK Festival Awards, Ellie joined SME London as a Senior Marketing Executive for 2020’s BBC Countryfile Live at Windsor Great Park (80,000 cap.) and Castle Howard followed very quickly by a promotion to Marketing Manager.
