GetOnMedia is an experienced deliverer of world class, live event productions. GOM’s founder, Jason Carter, has worked as a festival promoter and producer at a number of major UK festivals. As Director of the BBC’s live events division, Jason delivered some of the best known, and most memorable shows over the decades, including Jay-Z and Rihanna at Hackney Weekend (100,000 people), ELO, Rod Steward and Elton John in Hyde Park (50,000 people), the Chemical Brothers in Ibiza, and Eminem at the Milton Keynes Bowl.
As a result, GetOnMedia has a vast experience across all aspects of developing and delivering live assets. GOM can shape events from their earliest stages, helping the client develop a realistic brief, build a narrative, develop budgets/P&L forecasts/potential revenue avenues and shape a viable model.
GOM also helps clients bring these models to life, managing everything from onsite recces, licencing and site management, through to booking and liaising with artists, selling sponsorship, building the brand/creative, ticketing, marketing & promotion, and of course final delivery. The result is that we’re able to deliver highly creative productions, whilst providing impeccable customer experiences for all.
BBC CONCERT ORCHESTRA LIVE IN MALTA, A YEARLY EVENT
LIGHTS, CAMERA, MALTA! (2019)
In 2019, GetOnMedia produced an outdoor event delivered for the Malta Tourism Authority at The Granaries, Valetta, where the BBC Concert Orchestra performed classic soundtracks from movies and TV programmes filmed on location in Malta. A first event of the partnership between GetOnMedia and the Malta Tourism Authority, seeing 10,000 people in attendance, with very special guests and the evening compered by Charles Dance.
IT’S A KIND OF MAGIC - THE QUEEN STORY (2021)
Due to the success of “‘Light’s, Camera, Malta!”, GetOnMedia brought the BBC Concert Orchestra to Malta once again in 2021. This time, the thousands in attendance got to see the 60-piece BBC Concert Orchestra, a dynamic rock band and singers perform songs by Queen, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Aretha Franklin and more. The performance also included a recreation of the whole of the legendary Queen Live Aid set from Wembley Stadium.
CLASSIC ROCK ANTHEMS (2022)
A now yearly event in Malta, GetOnMedia and the BBC Concert Orchestra proudly returned with an epic evening of the world’s classic rock and pop anthems. The concert featured an astonishing 20 number one hit songs and an awe-inspiring countdown to the best selling artists of all time. Fans got to hear classic rock and pop anthems reimagined by the BBC Concert Orchestra under the direction of the renowned conductor Richard Balcombe. The No 1 classics heard included hits by The Rolling Stones, Queen, David Bowie, Lady Gaga, Fleetwood Mac and more!
CELEBRATING 100 YEARS OF HOLLYWOOD (2023)
After blowing audiences away in 2022 with “Classic Rock Anthems” and the previous year with “It’s a Kind of Magic - The Queen Story”, the BBC Concert Orchestra went back in 2023 with a bang, celebrating 100 years of Hollywood. 70 musicians, nearly 20 top West End Vocalists, and a star presenter, brought a memorable evening. The sensational concert took fans from the Gloden age to the present day. From the dancing feet of Astaire and Rogers to the full throttle sound of ‘Top Gun, Maverick’. This truly was a show like no other featuring soaring vocals and the wide-screen sound explosion of the orchestra!
